Kay Griffith

I paint for the joy of it and feel honored when the work finds favor with another person.  I believe there are no new images, designs, or colors.  They all exist in the universe.  We humans "play" with images, designs, and colors.  I am blessed to be able to make a living "playing in the paint."  My medium is oil paint.  Sometimes I want a brush for paint application, sometimes a pallette knife.   Sometimes I want to paint with precise detail; other times with vaguenes.  Reflections of light and emotion are important themes.

I studied color and design with Ethel Beitler,an abstract artist and book author; beginning oil painting with Larry Prellop; and technical oil painting with Dalhart Windberg.
